Lego Dual Print Investigation

Thesis Research

Project

Underwent a comparison study between two different print processes with the same subject; looking at print quality, technique, and tactile experience that accompany each. This investigation focused on screenprinting and letterpress techniques.

For this project, I focused one print on the typeface, and another on the word “REGISTER”. I wanted to investigate how registration affected the legibility of the typeface, so the registration of each color layer shifts as you move away from the middle. The ampersand print was an additional experiment of halftone on solid color print.
