Collaborative Project

Project

Tasked to print a run of tabloid publications to serve as a sort of catalogue for the exhibition and class, Glyphix, as a whole. We printed a 4-color process print run, and the idea of this project is to create a takeaway from The Exploded Text class and exhibition. In this publication, we will tell a story using your reflections and outputs, and collectively author a text that serves as an access point to information, as well as a document to bear witness to this time and place in history.

For this project, my partner Simon Miller and I collaborated using my Lego typeface. I abstracted the word “Nostalgia” as a background element, and he deconstructed letterforms and took the Lego shapes to create a variety of illustrations that are nestled throughout the composition.
